Dedicated To Your Wellness

Patrick Grandoni, MS, RDN

Patrick is the founder of Spirit Oak.  He purchased the property Spirit Oak resides on in 2010.  Originally planning to create a self-sustainable farm, it wasn’t long before the healing nature of the land made itself known. After spending most of his career in Neuroscience studying severe forms of epilepsy, Patrick developed a profound empathy for the caregivers involved with epilepsy patients. Seeing these caregivers spend their entire lives giving to patients, he felt a need to give back to these generous souls.  The concept of Spirit Oak was born out of the desire to care for the caregivers.  To act as a refuge to recharge, recenter and learn.

Patrick is a Harvard trained Registered Dietitian Nutritionist, a CIA trained Chef and a life-long organic farmer.

Catherine W Schweikert, PhD, MPH, PA-C

Driven by passion and a commitment to influencing positive change, Catherine has devoted her career to exploring the concept of compassion and its transformative power in everyday life and healthcare. Her extensive research and hands-on experience in this field has shaped her conviction in the inherent power of compassion in fostering wellness, promoting resilience and enhancing relationships.

Catherine has practiced medicine for 22 years. While earning her Ph.D. in Applied Psychophysiology, she wrote The Compassion Remedy: How to Leverage the Psychophysiological Benefits of Compassion to Beat Burnout, Renew Relationships, and Enjoy Greater Well-Being. She completed a year-long deep dive into applied compassion at Stanford University’s Center for Compassion and Altruism and Research (CCARE); it was there that she developed a program for hospitals to apply the scientifically proven and research-based aspects of compassion. Her intention, first and foremost, to improve clinicians’ grounded, compassionate bases so that they may be strong enough to help patients heal without giving away their vitality. Catherine is also a contributor to the Global Compassion Coalition.
